Tacconi
Sport story started in 1978, when Mr.Flaminio Tacconi, member of the
National Forest Rangers ski club and ski instructor, inaugurated the
first Tacconi Sport shop in his native village, Badia Prataglia, a
small Apennine centre near Camaldoli in the province of Arezzo,
Tuscany. Mr.Flaminio Tacconi was mainly driven by his great passion
for ski. Thanks to his competence and determination, mainly based on
the intuition that the large-scale organized retail trade in the
sporting goods sector was fastly growing, other two shops were soon
after opened, in Badia Prataglia; the small mountain resort thus
became an important sport good centre, a “landmark” in
central Italy for many sport-loving people. Flaminio Tacconi’s
policy that is “high quality within everybody’s means”,
is the same market strategy thanks to which they are known and
appreciated in their sector. They followed the same policy when they
decided to launch on the market their very first own brand, the
successful “Conte Flaminy” line, then followed by others
brands of their owns. In 1983 Tacconi Sport group started to spread
out to the nearby Emilia Romagna, in Cerasolo Ausa, where they opened
the first megastore, as for its show-room width: it was their fourth
shop. In the same years Flaminio Tacconi becomes a key point in the
world trade of sport goods being the importer for Italy of Dynamic
skiis, Trappeur ski boots and Alfa ski boards having at that time his
offices in Milan: “Viale Milazzo”. In this period he also
becomes a “protagonist” in the USA import-export
market.
In 1991 the farseeing manager bought the former wool mill
in Soci, a 3.400 sq m. building characteristic for its architectural
charm, which can boast 150 years of history. The completely restored
building thus became the parent company of a growing business.
An
other Tacconi Sport fundamental requirement is the one related to
hiring highly specialized personnel, whose background is usually the
sport agonistic field, people who are reputed to be able to guarantee
high quality standards and to direct the purchasings of the whole
group.
In
the mantime also the managing experienced a considerable expansion
under Mr Tacconi himself’s supervision. Together with its
expansion, the company also had to improve his organization because
of the multiplied number of functions required, fundamental to face
in an adequate way its expansion and its growth. Each Tacconi Sport
employee has to attend stages and many talented young people are
fully developed and than hired.
In
the last few years, in order to reach even the customers who can not
get to the trade centers usually located in the city outskirts,
Tacconi Sport opened up new shops in the city hystorical centres.
These are small shops in the hearth of the cities which are able to
offer in a few square meters a wide range of products.
In
2001 the internet portal project was launched. Through it, all
Internet users can get into the Tacconi stores. But in 2005 the
Internet has changed a lot, it became a tool commonly used by
anybody, so a further investment in the e-commerce field has been
necessary.That’s the reason why Tacconi Sport lauched a new
portal, a real shop in everybody’s home, for all those who are
interested in buying or having a look at our products. There is a
wide range of items available in it, and the courtesy, the
reliability and the competence is same as it is in a Tacconi Sport
shop, with the only difference that the customer can save a lot of
time and the travel costs.
